Product Roadmap
bonuz represents over 4 years of research, development, and iteration, from early protocol exploration to a live product running real-world pilots. This roadmap reflects what has been built, where the product stands today, and what comes next.
bonuz has been live on mainnet (Base) since October 2024.
2021β2022: Origin, Research & The Pivot
bonuz did not start as a wallet company.
The original vision was a creator and celebrity token launchpad. Branded tokens that unlocked exclusive perks, access, and engagement between public figures and their communities. The team designed token models, built early prototypes, and engaged with high-profile creators and athletes to validate the concept.
The market taught us something different.
During this period, we watched major NFT collections from globally recognized names struggle to sell out. Not because of demand, but because of friction. Smart, successful people outside of Web3 couldn't figure out how to use MetaMask. Friends with real purchasing power needed help navigating OpenSea for basic transactions. Every step (seed phrases, browser extensions, gas fees, network switching) was a barrier that killed conversion before it started.
The realization was clear: no matter how compelling the use case, it will never reach mainstream adoption if the fundamental wallet and identity infrastructure doesn't exist in a form normal people can use. The cool ideas like creator tokens, loyalty programs, proof-of-participation, and branded engagement would all fail at the same point: onboarding.
Rather than build on top of complicated wallets that required special permissions and crypto literacy, the team made the decision to pivot entirely to infrastructure-first. Build the wallet, the identity layer, and the engagement rails from scratch, designed for people who have never touched a blockchain. Get the foundation right, then enable everything else on top of it.
This wasn't a small adjustment. It meant rebuilding the product vision from the ground up: self-custodial wallets with social login, account abstraction for sponsored gas, on-chain identity that doesn't require users to understand what "on-chain" means, and programmable engagement assets (DNFTs) that replace paper stamps and plastic cards without asking users to learn new behavior.
The 2021β2022 period was spent on deep research, evaluating blockchain infrastructure, account abstraction approaches, MPC key management solutions, and the feasibility of combining identity, engagement, and wallet UX into a single consumer product. This research involved conversations with co-founders and core contributors of leading protocols, infrastructure providers, and ecosystem builders across major industry events and working groups. ERC-4337 wasn't even production-ready yet. bonuz was researching and building on it when it was still EIP-4337, before any SDKs existed. Upgrading these modules later meant months of infrastructure changes as the standard matured and tooling providers began offering production SDKs. Relationships with core partners like Web3Auth and early backers were established during this period.
The pivot also shaped a core design principle that guides bonuz to this day: if your grandmother can't use it in 30 seconds, it's not ready.
By the end of 2022, the architecture was defined, the infrastructure partners were in place, and the team was ready to build. Not a token launchpad, but the foundation for something much bigger.

bonuz Social Continuity Layer (V1) A user-controlled relationship layer that lets creators and communities keep their audience portable across platforms and time. Social Continuity solves the audience-reset problem β when algorithm changes, bans, platform decline, or shutdowns wipe out a creator's relationship with their community, those connections are lost. bonuz Social Continuity prevents that.
How it works: creators activate a Continuity Hub and share a join link. Followers opt in (under a minute) to create a portable creatorβfollower edge. The relationship graph β edges, signals, scoring β is stored off-chain in V1 for speed, scale, and privacy. On-chain in V1 is limited to account-link attestations (proving "this external account is me") and revocation/expiry states. The graph stores signals, not content: mutuality, overlap, longevity buckets, and optional bonuz QR-confirmed connections. It is not a new social network β it's a continuity vault. Opt-in only, private by default, selectively shareable via bonuz ID permissions.
trybz by bonuz (V1) A community-powered campaign engine built on top of the bonuz Human Layer. trybz lets people, AI agents, and brands form communities ("trybz") and run missions (campaigns) that produce real, verifiable actions β online or in the real world.
The loop: someone creates a trybz β launches a mission β members (human or AI agent) complete tasks β proof is submitted and verified β rewards and reputation are earned. trybz turns communities into execution engines β built on bonuz identity and reputation, supporting verifiable actions (not vanity metrics), human + AI collaboration with clearly separated and permissioned identities, and no heavy governance or crypto complexity. trybz may operate as part of the bonuz Brand Dashboard or as a standalone coordination layer β architecture is actively being researched.
Beyond 2026 β Vision
bonuz Social Oracle A permissioned discovery and matching layer that turns identity and engagement data into useful context for apps and brands β all within user-granted permission scopes. The Social Oracle reads from the bonuz graph (identities, attestations, continuity edges, engagement history) to enable recommendations, matching, and targeted opportunities without exposing raw user data.
bonuz Social Continuity V2 On-chain snapshot commitments via Merkle roots (weekly/monthly), representing tribe and follower sets without publishing raw lists. Followers can generate inclusion proofs to claim perks or access even if the original platform changes. Full integration with Social Oracle (permissioned discovery) and Engagement Protocol (membership and perk gating based on continuity proofs).
bonuz Next Layer The AR and spatial computing layer. Since bonuz login is interoperable, users authenticate on devices like Apple Vision Pro or Meta Ray-Bans and access augmented reality engagement features β location-based discovery, immersive routing, real-world gamification inspired by PokΓ©mon GO, and blended digital-physical interactions. bonuz Next Layer represents the long-term evolution from a mobile-first Human Layer into a real-world operating system that works across every device and surface.
This roadmap is a living document. Priorities are refined continuously based on pilot outcomes, market feedback, and technical feasibility.
