🤖bonuz ID Protocol
Portable, permissioned on-chain identity — operated by Bonuz Inc.

What is bonuz ID?
bonuz ID is a user's unique on-chain identity anchored to their self-custodial wallet. It serves as the identity layer of the bonuz Human Layer — a protocol that standardizes how users, brands, and apps share and verify identity information across the ecosystem.
Think of it as a biolink page like Linktree or link.me — but on-chain and user-owned. Users get a shareable profile at bonuz.id/[username] where they can showcase their verified social handles, links, bio, wallet addresses, and credentials. Unlike traditional biolink tools, bonuz ID lives on-chain, supports tipping, accumulates attestations over time, and gives users full control over their data.
bonuz ID is optional. Users can use the bonuz Lifestyle Wallet without it — staying anonymous by default. When activated, bonuz ID unlocks richer experiences, reputation building, and cross-ecosystem portability.
Example profiles: bonuz.id/bonuz or bonuz.id/samantha

What bonuz ID Represents
Each bonuz ID aggregates:
Wallet address — Primary EOA or smart account linked to the user
Social handles — Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Snapchat, Threads, Pinterest, VK, Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, and more. These handles can be validated, verified, and authenticated.
Links — Websites, bios, and external profiles (biolink-style)
Attestations — On-chain proofs of visits, redemptions, achievements, quest completions, and reputation markers. These accumulate over time, building a portable history.
Permissions — Scoped, revocable access grants to apps and brands — for example, functionalities governed by token gating via the DNFT / Engagement Protocol.
Permission Model & Privacy
Privacy is fundamental to bonuz ID. Data Privacy and GDPR are core principles — privacy is a part of every human's freedom.
Users control exactly what is visible and to whom:
Each social handle can be set to public or private independently. If a user sets a handle to private, nobody can see it — not other users, not brands, not even bonuz.
Apps and brands can only read or write data that the user has explicitly permitted
Permissions are scoped (limited to specific data) and revocable (the user can withdraw access at any time)
The protocol emits events for all permission changes: PermissionGranted, PermissionRevoked, HandleVisibilityChanged
This is not a "connect your socials and hope for the best" model. It's a structured, user-controlled permission system where consent is explicit and enforceable on-chain.
On-Chain Mechanics
Every time a user updates their bonuz ID — adding a handle, changing visibility, granting permissions — a transaction is recorded on-chain via the bonuz ID Protocol smart contract. Gas is sponsored on these actions through account abstraction, so users never pay fees for identity updates.
Key protocol events:
HandleAdded — New social handle linked
HandleVisibilityChanged — Privacy setting updated
Attested — New visit, quest, achievement, or reputation data recorded
PermissionGranted / PermissionRevoked — App or brand access updated
Verification System
bonuz ID includes three tiers of verification ticks:
🔵 Blue — Basic verification
🟡 Yellow — Enhanced verification
🟢 Green — Full verification
These tiers combine social handle authentication with additional identity verification methods. bonuz integrates with partners including LensProtocol, PolygonID, Anima, Binance Account Bound KYC Token, and Worldcoin's Proof of Personhood to build toward robust "Proof of Humanity." As bonuz partners with more brands and protocols, this is not limited to social accounts — it may also aggregate government IDs and other official credentials to achieve the highest-quality user profiles possible.
Use Cases
bonuz ID Protocol enables:
Enriched login — Apps integrated via the bonuz SDK can see verified handles and attestations (if the user opts in), creating richer onboarding without requiring separate KYC
KYC-lite gating — Brands can require certain attestations or verification levels before granting access to campaigns or content
Portable reputation — A user's visit history, quest completions, and loyalty status travel with them across all bonuz-integrated apps and white-labels
Tipping — Users can receive tips directly through their bonuz ID profile
Apple Wallet — bonuz ID can be added as a card/pass in Apple Wallet
Premium handles — VIP usernames under 5 characters available as premium bonuz ID handles
Privacy
Users should decide from the very beginning whether they want their identity to be public or not — and we recommend thinking carefully before sharing personal information.
Anything stored on-chain in the smart contract is not erasable. Even if a user later sets a handle to private, the historical record of that data having existed remains on the smart contract permanently, in both the public and private state. Users should be conscious of this from the very first moment.
If a user prefers to use a meme account or be a cat — that's completely fine and fully supported. bonuz ID does not require a real name or real photo. Users can toggle visibility settings on individual handles at any time using the eye symbol in the bonuz ID menu. The setting change takes effect immediately, but the on-chain history of that change is permanent.
Web App & SDK
bonuz ID has its own dedicated web app at bonuz.id where users claim and manage their identity, links, handles, and permissions.
The bonuz ID Protocol is also exposed via the bonuz SDK, allowing third-party dApps and Web2 apps to integrate bonuz identity capabilities directly — enriched login, verified handles, attestation queries, and permission management. Every SDK integration contributes users and graph growth into the bonuz Human Layer.
Why It Matters

bonuz ID Protocol is what makes the bonuz graph possible. Every identity created, every handle verified, every attestation recorded, and every permission granted adds a node or edge to a shared, composable network.
The bonuz graph = identity + verifications + engagements.
This graph is the foundation for network effects — and the basis for the future bonuz Social Oracle, a permissioned discovery and matching layer that turns identity and activity into useful context for apps and brands.
What "Login with Google" did for access, bonuz does for ownership. One identity. Portable across chains, apps, and the real world. User-owned.
